1.) Overweight Board:

Reason: It should be due to the technical reasons of the steel plant. The actual thickness is thicker than the standard thickness when rolling the thick plate, or the length and width are longer than the standard, resulting in a weight heavier than the adjusted weight.

Quotation method: add 200-400 yuan/ton to the quotation of the day, or report to the customer at the weighed price to make up for the excess weight.

2.) Change Rolled Plate:

The re-rolled plate is generally made of scraps from small factories and re-rolled billets. The processing technology is backward, the surface of the plate is poor, there is no guarantee of quality and mechanical properties, and its nickel content does not meet the formal requirements. In terms of processing, it is difficult to punch holes and wire. Its advantage is that the price is about 1500-2000 cheaper than that of large factories. The modified rolled plates are generally produced in Dainan.

3.) Calendering Board:

Reasons for the production of rolled plates: Because there is a big price difference between hot rolled coils and cold rolled coils, and the price of modified rolled coils is cheaper than cold rolled coils. Rolled plates have both price advantages and large profit margins, so Many manufacturers produce calendered plates.

4.) Production Process:

Because the manufacturer of rolled plate does not have the ability to produce cold rolled plate, its production process cannot meet the requirements for producing cold plate, so they buy hot rolled coils from large steel plants and perform surface deheating treatment. Then it is rolled into other cold-rolled coils of various thicknesses.


The first-grade material is produced without any defects. The secondary material may cause scratches, chromatic aberration and other defects in the production process, but it is not very serious, and there is no substantial difference between the mechanical properties and element content and the primary material. The price is cheaper than the first-grade material. Generally available for customers with less stringent requirements!

5.) The difference between L1 and LH in 201:

L1 refers to the nickel content in the 201 board up to 0.8; LH refers to the nickel content in the 201 board up to 0.6. The price of LH is relatively cheaper than the price of L1.
